Two Bathrooms, One Vision: A Complete Bathroom Transformation in Sacramento

When our Sacramento client reached out to Tenax Construction, they had two bathrooms that were long overdue for a remodel. The master bathroom upstairs and the guest bathroom downstairs were both outdated, worn, and no longer functional for modern living.

They needed one reliable, licensed contractor in Sacramento who could handle both bathrooms — demolition, plumbing, electrical, tile, vanities, and everything in between — without cutting corners.

Tenax Construction took on the challenge and delivered a complete transformation.

The Problem: Two Bathrooms That Needed Everything

Both bathrooms had serious issues that went beyond cosmetics:

Master Bathroom (Upstairs):

Worn-out LVP flooring in the bathroom and laundry area
Outdated vanities, mirrors, and lighting
Old toilet and plumbing that needed re-routing
Drywall damage around the window
No wall separation between the bathroom and bedroom
Electrical wiring that didn’t meet modern standards

Guest Bathroom (Downstairs):

Cracked and stained tile throughout
Outdated vanity, mirror, lights, and toilet
Damaged drywall in the wet area
Old plumbing and electrical that needed full replacement
No proper waterproofing in the shower zone

The client needed a full bathroom remodel in Sacramento — not a patch job, but a real, lasting solution for both spaces.

Our Solution: Full Remodel from Demolition to Final Finish

Tenax Construction created a detailed plan for both bathrooms and executed every phase with precision. Here’s how we solved every problem:

🔨 Demolition — Done Right, Done Safe

A proper remodel starts with a clean slate. For both bathrooms, our crew carefully removed everything that needed to go:

Master Bathroom:

Removed existing LVP flooring in the bathroom and laundry
Removed old vanities, mirrors, lights, and toilet
Removed damaged drywall around the window
Re-routed plumbing and electrical where needed

Guest Bathroom:

Removed all existing tile
Removed old vanity, mirror, lights, and toilet
Removed drywall in the wet area
Re-routed plumbing and electrical where needed

Professional demolition protects the home’s structure and ensures that new installations go in cleanly and correctly — a critical step in any bathroom renovation in Sacramento.

🚿 Plumbing — Modern, Reliable, Up to Code

Outdated plumbing was a problem in both bathrooms. Our licensed plumbers re-routed all necessary lines and installed:

Master Bathroom:

New plumbing layout to support the updated floor plan
Radiant floor heating wiring in the bathroom and laundry area
All connections properly sealed and tested

Guest Bathroom:

New shower trim kit and drain
All plumbing re-routed to fit the new layout
Connections tested and verified to California code

Reliable plumbing means no leaks, no water damage, and no costly repairs down the road.

🔌 Electrical — Safe, Smart, and Stylish

Both bathrooms received a full electrical upgrade. Our licensed electricians installed:

Master Bathroom:

New wiring for ceiling can lights
Wiring for vanity lights
Outlets and switches including the pony wall
Wiring for shower trim kit lights
Wiring for closet lighting

Guest Bathroom:

New wiring for vanity lights
Updated outlets and switches
All work performed to California electrical code

Every outlet, switch, and light was installed safely and professionally — giving the client bathrooms that are as functional as they are beautiful.

🧱 Tile Installation — Waterproof, Beautiful, Built to Last

Tile work is where a bathroom remodel truly comes to life. Our tile team delivered:

Master Bathroom:

Full tile installation on the window feature wall
Complete floor tile throughout the bathroom and laundry
Clean, precise grout lines and sealed surfaces

Guest Bathroom:

Hardie backer board installed on all shower walls
RedGard waterproofing membrane applied — critical for long-term moisture protection
New tile on shower walls, shower pan, and full bathroom floor
Professional surface preparation before every installation

Proper waterproofing and quality tile installation are what separate a bathroom that lasts 20 years from one that fails in 5. Tenax Construction does it right the first time.

🚪 Framing & Drywall — Structure and Finish

The master bathroom required significant structural work to create the right layout:

Installed a new wall frame between the bathroom and bedroom — creating proper separation and privacy
Built a new frame around the window for a clean, straight wall
Installed new drywall, taped and textured to a smooth finish
Prepared all surfaces before tile and paint

This level of detail is what makes a remodel feel custom — not just renovated.

🪞 Vanities, Mirrors & Fixtures — The Details That Make the Difference

Once the structure, plumbing, electrical, and tile were complete, our team installed all the finishing elements:

Both Bathrooms:

Brand-new vanities with modern design
New mirrors and vanity lights
New toilets
New shower trim kits and accessories

Master Bathroom:

Mirror lights for a bright, spa-like atmosphere
Fixtures selected to complement the overall design

Every fixture was chosen for quality, durability, and style — giving both bathrooms a finished, high-end look.

The Result: Two Bathrooms Completely Transformed

What were once two problem-filled, outdated bathrooms are now beautiful, fully functional spaces the client is proud of.

Trustindex verifies that the original source of the review is Google. We had a large renovation project at our home, and we couldn’t be happier with the results. The team replaced almost all of our windows, painted the entire house and garage, completely remodeled two bathrooms, removed a wall to combine two rooms into one, and created beautiful smooth walls with molding in the new space. They also installed new carpeting throughout the house, added ceiling lighting to almost every room, replaced all of the outlets and switches, and took care of many other smaller projects along the way. There was a lot of work involved, but the team was hardworking, responsive, and always willing to help. Communication was great throughout the entire process. We especially appreciated Nikolai, the project manager, who was very attentive and easy to work with. We are very happy with the quality of the work and would definitely recommend this company. If we have any future renovation projects, we will absolutely reach out to them again!
