At Tenax Construction Inc., we stand behind every project we complete. Our warranty program is designed to give you peace of mind long after your kitchen remodel, bathroom transformation, or custom ICF home is finished. All warranties are provided in compliance with California law and the terms of your signed contract.
Tenax Construction Inc. warrants that all work performed will be free from defects in materials and workmanship for a period specified in your written contract, and no less than the minimums required under California law.
In accordance with the California Right to Repair Act (Civil Code §896–945.5), residential construction work is subject to the following statutory minimum standards:
| Component | Statutory Standard |
|---|---|
| Structural components (foundation, framing) | Must not cause damage for 10 years |
| Waterproofing & weather protection | Must perform for 10 years |
| Plumbing, sewer, electrical systems | Must be free of defects for 4 years |
| Interior finishes (tile, flooring, drywall) | Must be free of defects for 1 year |
| Fit and finish (paint, trim, fixtures) | Must be free of defects for 1 year |
These are minimum statutory standards. Your specific contract may provide broader coverage.
All materials, fixtures, appliances, and equipment installed by Tenax Construction Inc. are covered by their respective manufacturer’s warranties. These warranties are separate from and in addition to our workmanship warranty.
We will:
Provide you with all manufacturer warranty documentation at project completion
Assist in registering products that require registration to activate warranty coverage
Help facilitate manufacturer warranty claims during the first year following project completion
Common manufacturer warranty terms:
Cabinetry — 1 to limited lifetime warranty (varies by brand)
Plumbing Fixtures — 1 to lifetime warranty

Nudura ICF Systems — manufacturer structural warranty per product specifications
Roofing Materials — 20 to 50 years depending on product
Our workmanship warranty covers defects that arise from the work performed by Tenax Construction Inc. under the signed project contract, including:
Faulty installation of materials, fixtures, or systems
Defects in structural work performed by our team
Water intrusion through areas we waterproofed or sealed
Electrical, plumbing, or HVAC defects resulting from our installation work

Our workmanship warranty does not cover the following conditions:
Normal wear and tear resulting from everyday use
Client-caused damage — damage resulting from misuse, neglect, or unauthorized modifications
Acts of nature — damage caused by earthquakes, wildfires, flooding, or other force majeure events beyond our control
Pre-existing conditions — structural integrity, code compliance, or condition of any existing components not included in the scope of work (see Section 5 below)
Improper maintenance — failure to perform routine maintenance as recommended by manufacturers or our team
Third-party modifications — work performed on the project by other contractors after our completion
Per California Civil Code, any exclusion from warranty coverage is clearly disclosed in your signed contract prior to commencement of work.
Tenax Construction Inc. does not warrant the structural integrity, condition, or code compliance of any existing structures, foundations, framing, plumbing, electrical, or mechanical systems not included in the scope of work.
The existence of concealed defects, rot, mold, termite damage, water intrusion, or deterioration in existing construction is not the responsibility of Contractor unless Contractor has expressly agreed in writing to repair or replace such conditions.
Important: If during the course of work our team discovers concealed conditions that may affect the project, the structure, or occupant safety, we will promptly notify you in writing and provide options for addressing the issue. Any additional work required to remedy discovered conditions will be documented in a signed Change Order prior to proceeding.
This disclosure is provided in accordance with California Business and Professions Code §7109 and CSLB contractor obligations.

Under the California Right to Repair Act (SB 800, Civil Code §895–945.5), for new residential construction of single-family homes or condominiums:
You have the right to request repair before filing a lawsuit for construction defects
The contractor has the right to inspect and offer to repair the alleged defect
Certain notice and waiting periods apply before litigation may proceed
This law provides important protections for both homeowners and contractors. We encourage open communication and will always prioritize resolving any concerns directly and promptly.
To maintain the quality of your completed project and preserve your warranty coverage, we recommend:
Kitchen & Bathroom Remodels:
Seal grout lines annually to prevent moisture infiltration
Inspect caulking around sinks, tubs, and showers every 6–12 months
Clean ventilation fans and replace filters per manufacturer guidelines
Avoid abrasive cleaners on stone, tile, or fixture surfaces
ICF Custom Homes:
ICF walls require minimal maintenance due to their durability
Inspect exterior finishes (stucco, paint) annually for cracking or separation
Ensure proper drainage around the foundation is maintained
General:
Address minor issues promptly before they develop into larger problems
Keep all warranty documents and manuals provided at project handover
Do not make structural modifications without consulting a licensed contractor
